Our history
UAB „Laboratorinių bandymų centras“ began its activities in 1965 as a laboratory of the "Roads and Bridges Exploitation Trust".
1965
The laboratory of Kelių, tiltų eksploatacijos trestas began its activities.
1985
The laboratory was renamed to Žinybinis laboratorinių bandymų centras.
1986
Žinybinis laboratorinių bandymų centras was certified, and the accumulation of independent quality testing experience began.
1996
Žinybinis laboratorinių bandymų centras was established as a branch of the municipal company Kauno keliai.
The National Accreditation Bureau accredited the company for quality testing of aggregates, mineral powders, bitumen, asphalt mixtures, pavements, concrete mixtures, and products.
Žinybinis laboratorinių bandymų centras, as a branch of the municipal company Kauno keliai, became the first accredited testing laboratory for construction materials and products in the Republic of Lithuania.
2000
The company was reorganized into the joint-stock company Laboratorinių bandymų centras.
2005
The company was reorganized into UAB Laboratorinių bandymų centras.
2014
The company developed and implemented a quality and environmental management system in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
We change over time
UAB Laboratorinių bandymų centras is one of the independent laboratories accredited according to the LST EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, performing quality testing of construction materials – aggregates, bitumen and bituminous binders, cement, concrete mixtures and products, granite, asphalt mixtures, road bases, and pavements.
At the request of our clients, we perform three types of construction material and product testing: suitability testing, self-control testing, and control testing.
We also carry out certification testing in accordance with the mandatory parameter list approved by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania.
The company is an independent laboratory performing cement certification tests not only for certification bodies in Lithuania, but also for those in Latvia and Finland.
In addition, the company provides technical supervision services for road construction works and building renovation projects.
Nature of activity
UAB Laboratorinių bandymų centras is one of the oldest accredited independent laboratories in Lithuania.
The company employs highly qualified specialists in their respective fields who, by performing their daily tasks, provide reliable testing and process evaluation services, contributing to the quality construction of transport infrastructure and ensuring the quality of related products.
This enables the company to operate as an independent, professional, transparent, and socially responsible organization.
We are growing and improving
The scope of accreditation is being expanded by adopting new European standards.
The company aims to become a notified body and to perform testing services, attracting clients from the European Union.
UAB Laboratorinių bandymų centras is authorized by the National Accreditation Bureau to organize proficiency testing (PT) for viscous road bitumen in Lithuania. PT programs are organized once every two years.
The company also participates in PT schemes (cement, mineral materials, concrete, asphalt mixtures) organized by accredited laboratories in Lithuania and other countries.
We actively participate in the activities of the Construction Committee of the Ministry of Environment, the Standards Department Committee under the Ministry of Environment, the Construction Committee of the National Accreditation Bureau, the Association of Railway Service Companies GELPA, the Association of Construction Product Testing Laboratories SPBLA, the Lithuanian Quarries Association, and the public institution Skaitmeninė statyba.
